ITTA BENA, Miss. --- The Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils fell to the Tigers of Jackson State University, 26-16.

On their opening drive, JSU was held to a field goal. When the Delta Devils were forced to punt, the Tigers landed a 33-yard field goal. Undeterred, the Delta Devils bounced back with 32-yard touchdown interception by Farrean Toney. The score at the half was 6-6.
At the 7:57 mark of the third, Ruben Piraquive split the uprights from 27-yards out to take the lead. Later in the third, Slade Jarman scampered into the end zone from two-yards out; Piraquive nailed the point after.

Jackson State's Ryan Deising placed a 24-yard field goal, to bring the score to 16-9. Jackson entered the end zone twice and wrapped up the contest with a field goal.
Jarman went 6-20-1 for 62 yards for the day. Thomas Stokes, Jr. paced the Delta Devils with 44 net rushing yards on 15. DeMarius Howard led MVSU in receiving with 29-yards on two receptions.

Defensively, Charles Moore tallied eleven total tackles (6 solo and five assist) to lead Mississippi Valley.
On November 7 the Delta Devils will travel to Huntsville, Alabama, to face the Bulldogs of Alabama A & M University at 1:00 p.m.
