Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes fell 98-35 in their contest to the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.

"The University of Alabama is an impressive team and it showed on the floor. It's still early in our season and with a young team, we're continually working on our consistency as a team," said Head Coach Elvis Robinson.

The first and second quarters saw the Devilettes struggling to get their offense running smoothly, being held to 17-points. Ashley Beals paced MVSU with seven-points and six rebounds during the first two quarters.

During the second, the Crimson Tide increased their lead significantly, sealing the contest in their favor. In the second half, MVSU tallied 18 points.

Beals completed the contest with a double double, 11-points, 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal. Feleshia Walters added 10-points, five rebounds and one assist.

The Devilettes will be in action again on Tuesday, November 24, when they travel down Highway 82 to face the Lady Bulldogs of Mississippi State University. The contest serves as Mississippi Valley's fourth consecutive SEC opponent.
