Women’s Basketball Falls to Mississippi State

Starkville, Miss. --- The Mississippi Valley State University Devilettes dropped a tough 109-37 contest to the Lady Bulldogs of Mississippi State University.
 
Offensively, Mississippi Valley was never able to establish their rhythm.  Christina Reed paced the Devilettes with 15-points, six rebounds, four steals and one assist, while Kadesha Floyd added six points and two rebounds.
 
Kassaedy Bolden added six rebounds to aid Mississippi Valley. Ashley Beals chipped in three assists to assist the Devilettes in scoring.
 
MVSU finished 32 percent from the field, 30.8 for three pointers and one of three from the charity stripe.
 
Mississippi State was paced by Kayla Nevitt with 20 points, however Teaira McCowan landed a double-double with 17-points, 10 rebounds.
 
Head Coach Elvis Robinson said, "Tonight was a tough contest and from here we have to learn from the experience and apply it to the rest of the season."

Mississippi Valley will be in action again on November 27, when they travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to participate in the University of Southern Mississippi Classic. MVSU takes on USM on the 27th at 7:00 pm.
