Box Score ITTA BENA, Miss. --- The Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State University shutout the Lady Bulldogs of Alabama A & M University 2-0 in the opening contest of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Soccer Tournament.

Nykosi Simmons started scoring for the Devilettes in the 4^th minute on a pass from Karenth Zabala. Mariana Balbao landed an impressive goal at the 26:50 mark of the first half on an assist by Ernestina Abambila.
  
Goalkeeper Rita Gyasi recorded her fifth shutout of the season. The Devilettes will face the Lady Bisons of Howard University on Thursday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m.
