Delta Devils Stymied by Rainbow Warriors

Honolulu, Hawaii - The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils ended a tough 14 game road trip this evening against the Rainbow Warriors of The University of Hawaii.

Although losing 77-48, the Delta Devils made tremendous strides and have improved for conference play, which begins January 4.

After shooting 21% from the field the first half and trailing by 27 the Delta Devils regrouped at half time for a memorable second half of basketball.

Latrell Love started the second half with a steal, demonstrating the revised defensive effort and passion from the Delta Devils. Limiting the opponent to only 34 points while scoring 32 the Delta Devils displayed effort, which should make them a formidable foe during the conference season.

Vacha Vaughn paced the Delta Devils with 15-points and was a main cog during the second half of play going 5-6 from the field. Ta'Jay Henry added 10 rebounds with seven coming on the offensive end.

Taking a break for the New Year the Delta Devils begin conference play Monday January 4 hosting the Golden Lions of The University of Arkansas Pine Bluff.
