MONTGOMERY --- The Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State University traveled to Montgomery, Alabama, to face the Lady Hornets of Alabama State University, with a score of 100-50, the Devilettes are now 1-1 in conference play.

Offensively, MVSU was unable to establish a clear game plan. Â Christina Reed dominated the court for the Devilettes with 25-points, six rebounds, two steals and one assist, while Ashley Beals added 10-points and nine rebounds.

Kahdejah Stevens added nine-points and four rebounds to aid MVSU in their concentrated effort.

MVSU finished 29.4 percent from the field, 22.2 for three pointers and 18-of-30 from the charity stripe.

The Lady Hornets were paced by Britney Wright with 24-points, however Tatyana Calhoun added a double double with 21-points, 11 rebounds.

"We made some mistakes and it cost us the contest. Now we look forward to Monday's contest in Huntsville," Head Coach Elvis Robinson stated.
The Devilettes will be in action again on January 11, when they travel to Huntsville, Alabama, to wrap up their Alabama conference weekend, with Alabama A & M University.
