ITTA BENA, Miss. – In today's matchup against the Alabama State Lady Hornets, Mississippi Valley dropped the match 3-0. Scoring by set was 25-15, 25-12 and 25-11.

The Devilettes started the contest out strong going toe-to-toe with Alabama State in the opening sets. However, with hitting errors and strong attacks, the Lady Hornets built a massive lead. The rally, MVSU started fell short of serving ASU their first conference loss.

The third set was totally in favor of the Lady Hornets.

Kalin Barnes paced the Devilettes with seven kills and six digs. Marissa Chalmers added four kills and four digs. Jaime Polk recorded 13 assists.
