MOREHEAD, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basket team buckled 85-30 in their home contest against the Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University. 

Ashley Beals scored 21-points, four rebounds and one steal to pace Mississippi Valley in their offensive strategy. Feleshia Walters added four points, four rebounds and one steal. Zemoria Jernigan tallied two blocks.
 
Mississippi Valley shot 66.7 percent from the free throw line, making 6-of-9. The area beyond the arch was a problematic area for the Devilettes as they were unable to connect on any of their attempts.

Mississippi Valley will host the Lady Panthers of Prairie View on Monday, February 22 at 5:30 pm. The game will be played in Greenwood, Miss, at the Greenwood-Leflore Civic Center.
