CONWAY, Ark. -  The Delta Devils baseball team fell short in their efforts against the Bears of the University of Central Arkansas, dropping the contest 11-1.
 
Neither team was able to score in the first inning, however UCA was able to land one run in the bottom of the second. With a scoreless third and fourth inning, the game was still very much winnable by either team.
 
The Bears scored four in the fifth to extend their lead 5-0. In the sixth, MVSU scored their only run of the contest. Drew Wheeler singled to the shortstop to score Caleb Lindsey.
 
UCA scored once in the seventh and five in the eighth. Mississippi Valley finished with one run, five hits and one error.
