MVSU Begins Arkansas Weekend with 2-0 Loss to Arkansas-Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. --- The Mississippi Valley State University Devilettes soccer team were able to hold the University of Arkansas-Little Rock to two goals, however they were unable to score, dropping the contest 2-0.

MVSU held the Lady Trojans to one goal in each half. Kayla Turner scored the first goal for UALR in the 31st minute; Jaclyn Purvine assisted her. The second score came one second into the 85th minute when a bouncing ball by Quin Wilkes settled into the goal.

Little Rock recorded 38 shots, with 18 being on target. Rita Gyasi recorded 16 saves; 11 in the first and five in the second.
