CLINTON, Miss. --- The Devilettes volleyball team fell 3-0 to the Lady Choctaws of Mississippi College, dropping to 1-4 on the season. The scores by set were: 25-20, 27-25 and 25-14.

MVSU finished with 28 kills on 108 attacks. Illiya Trahan paced the Devilettes with eight kills, while Cynthia Richardson and Kalin Barnes added six and five respectively. Jamie Polk recorded three aces. Victoria Hicks and Trahan each tallied one.

Brooklyn Hudson recorded 15 assists for Mississippi Valley; Polk tallied 11 and Hicks added one. Sydney Robinson dropped down to record 13 digs, while Barnes and Hudson added 10 and five. Richardson led the blocking game with two for MVSU; Hicks and Hudson tallied one each.

"The team played a great game. I think the contest showed us what we need to work on moving forward," said Head Coach Douglas Hunter.
