ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Devilettes were able finish the Lady Tigers of Jackson State University 1-0 in overtime.
 
The last few meetings of the two has ended in a tie, and it appeared to be heading in the same direction tonight.

The opening 90-minutes was scoreless, however the action was fast paced and aggressive.
 
Mississippi Valley's "hot footed" Laadi Isaaka scored the game winning goal with a little over one minute remaining in the overtime period.  Katelyn Denton assisted Isaaka.

Rita Gyasi, MSVU's goalie, made two saves, one in the second and one during overtime.

MVSU will host the Lady Jaguars of Southern University on October 2 at 1:00 p.m.
