PHOENIX – Mississippi Valley's men's basketball team had a rough night on the hardwood, as they faced Grand Canyon, dropping the contest 71-38.
The Delta Devils and the Lopes faced off in Phoenix, Arizona, and the contest weighed heavily for the home team, Grand Canyon. Mississippi Valley was only able to score 19-points in each half, while GCU was able to score 33 in the first and 38 in the final half.
The Delta Devils went 8-29 in the opening half for 27.59 percent and 6-22 in the second for a 27.27 percentage. For the contest, Mississippi Valley finished 14-51 for a game percentage of 27.5.
Dante Scott led the Delta Devils with 13-points, five-rebounds and two blocks, while Jordan Evans added seven-points and four rebounds
On December 20th, the Delta Devils will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, to face the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Tip-off is slated for 6:00 pm.
