NACOGDOCHES, Texas – (Baseball) Mississippi Valley's baseball team traveled to Nacogdoches, Texas, to face the Lumberjacks of Stephen F. Austin in an evening contest. The game ended 8-2 in favor of SFA.

In the first two innings of the contest, both teams went scoreless. In the bottom of the third, the Lumberjacks scored two runs to break the 0-0 on the scoreboard.

In the top of the fourth, MVSU scored one run to cut the lead in half. Stephen F. Austin scored another run in the fifth, however their breakout inning was the sixth, where they landed five runs.

The Delta Devils held firm in the seventh and eighth by not allowing a single run. In the top of the ninth, Mississippi Valley scored their final run to end the contest.

The Delta Devils finished with two runs on seven hits and three errors, while holding the Lumberjacks to eight runs on nine hits and one error.

Jackson Webb took the loss on the mound for Mississippi Valley.
