ITTA BENA – (Baseball) It was another close contest in Itta Bena, Mississippi, between the Delta Devils and Tigers of Jackson State baseball teams. JSU was able to outscore MVSU 3-2 to win the contest and the series.

In a repeat of the first contest, neither team scored a run. In the second, MVSU scored the first run of the contest. Jackson responded with a run in the top of the third.

The fourth and fifth innings went by quickly and with little fanfare as neither team was able to push a runner across home plate.

JSU scored one run in consecutive innings, giving them three total. MVSU scored once more in the bottom of the seventh to conclude scoring for the contest.

The Delta Devils finished with two runs on seven hits and two errors.

Zac Uecker received the loss for the Delta Devils on the mound.
