Box Score JACKSON, Miss. – (Baseball) The rubber match between the Delta Devils and the Jackson State Tigers did not end in favor of Mississippi Valley. JSU was able to bypass MVSU 13-6.

The Delta Devils got off to a great start, scoring once in the first and second inning, for a 2-0 advantage. The Tigers responded with three runs in the bottom of the third. Jackson State was also able to land runners in the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth innings.

Mississippi Valley scored twice in the eighth and ninth innings but were unable to rally back for the victory.

It wasn't for a lack of hitting on behalf of the Delta Devils as they finished with 13 hits and minimal mistakes (one error).
