NASHVILLE (Baseball) – The Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley State dropped their doubleheader in Nashville, Tennessee, to Lipscomb. In game one, MVSU dropped both contest 9-3.
Game One:
In the first game, neither team was able to score in the first inning. Lipscomb scored once in the second and third innings. In the fourth they extended the lead by four.
In the fifth, Lipscomb scored another runner, prior to scoring two runners in the sixth. In the seventh, MVSU landed three runs.
Mississippi Valley tallied three runs on two hits and three errors.
Game Two:
In the first inning, Lipscomb scored two runs. They were able to add one run in the second and third innings. IN the fourth, Lipscomb scored two runners to extend their lead.
In the sixth, MVSU scored one run; while Lipscomb scored two.
The home team (Lipscomb) scored their final run in the bottom of the seventh.
In the top of the ninth, the Delta Devils scored two runs.
Mississippi Valley concluded the contest with three runs on eight hits and two errors.
