ITTA BENA - The game began slowly for both teams, with several missed shots between the two. After 29-minutes of play, the Lady Hornets' Ariela Lewis scored first goal at 29:10 making it 1-0.

After the 15-minute halftime, the Devilettes came out with a good start that slowly dissipated. Despite the offensive struggle, the defense locked down, proving themselves capable of shutting out any further scoring opportunities for the Lady Hornets.  

Mississippi Valley's goalie recorded 9 saves for the afternoon. The Devilettes recorded 6 shots, three of which were on goal.

On Friday, September 29th, Mississippi Valley travels to Birmingham, Alabama, to face Howard University. Game time is slated for 7:00 PM.
