Alabama State 63, Mississippi Valley State 46

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley squared off against Alabama State University in the Dunn Oliver Acadome in Montgomery, Alabama. While the two battled fiercely, ASU was able to take the contest 63-46.

The opening half was difficult one for the Delta Devils as the Hornets were able to build a 35-26 lead entering the locker rooms at halftime. Jordan Evans led Mississippi Valley with 10-points in the opening half.

The second half proved to be more competitive, as MVSU hit their stride, holding the Hornets to -points, while scoring 20. Scoring in the half started with a free throw by Evans at 18:13.

Alabama State went on a run to end the contest and secure the win by 17-points. Evans led the team in scoring with 16-points, six rebounds; while LaCurtis Allen tallied seven points, six rebounds and one steal.
