JACKSON, Miss. – (Baseball) The third game between the Delta Devils and the Jackson State Tiger was delayed due to the weather. The delay did not hinder the determination of the visiting Mississippi Valley team as the lifted themselves to a 2-1 victory over the hosting Jackson State.
MVSU started scoring in the second inning when, Caleb Collier reached first on an error and Fredrick Spencer, II crossed home plate. The Delta Devils were able to land their final run on the inning in the fourth, when Collier singled to score Marshall Parrish, while holding the Tigers to one run in the bottom of the seventh.
Mississippi Valley finished with two runs on six hits and one error.
Nicholas Johnson was credited with the win for MVSU on the pitcher's mound.
