MONTGOMERY (Baseball) – The Delta Devils are still in good standing in conference play, after dropping the rubber match 5-1.

With several players stepping up to make key out to prevent an explosive contest from the Hornets, Mississippi Valley is still in contention for the SWAC tournament in May.

The opening three innings were scoreless; however, the Delta Devils were able to score one run in the fourth. They held the lead until ASU scored once in the bottom of the fifth. The Hornets broke the tie in the bottom of the sixth with another run.

ASU scored three runners in the seventh to clinch the series.

Zac Uecker took the loss for Mississippi Valley on the pitcher's mound.
