ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State announces that two sports are offering camps for aspiring athletes this summer. Football and Women's Basketball will hold their camps during the third week of June.   

Football Head Coach Vincent Dancy and staff will host a Youth Camp for kids 7-12 on June 21st, followed by a Prospect Camp for athletes entering 9th grade up to 12th on June 22nd. The event will take place on Charles Prophet Field at Rice-Totten Stadium. Check-in begins each day at 8 a.m. at the Archie Cooley Devils Den and participants must bring cleats and running shoes. Lunch is provided and campers receive t-shirts at the conclusion of the camp.   

The Youth Camp costs $10 and the Prospect Camp is $20. Interested parents of campers can register online or by mail/in person. Walk up registration the day of is available.  

That same week, the women's basketball team and head coach Ashley Walker-Johnson host a Team Camp on June 20th and Elite Camp June 23rd.  

Coaches can register varsity squads for $150 and varsity/JV teams for $200 for the Team Camp, with four games guaranteed. 8th to 12th graders are eligible for the Elite Camp, which cost $60. Both camps are at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex on Valley's campus.
