Box Score LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – For the second straight match, Mississippi Valley State soccer found itself on the wrong end of the shutout. The Devilettes were blanked by the Little Rock Trojans, 3-0, in Arkansas Thursday (Sept. 12). 
The defeat drops Valley's record to 1-3-1. 
Goalkeeper McKenzie McCarthy (Olive Branch, Miss.) was kept busy by the Trojan offense, finishing the match with her fourth straight double-digit save effort. The sophomore tallied 10 stops. On the other end of the field, Little's Rock defense held Valley's offense at bay. Midfielder Aryana Saenz (Cape Coral, Fla.) and forward Beatriz Kretteis (São Paulo, Brazil) landed the only shots for the Devilettes in the 67th minute. 
For the Trojans, Jessica Carmichael, Astros Luckas and Julia Edholm all scored goals. Little Rock improves to 2-4-2 on the year. 
Next up for Valley is a home match versus Green Bay Saturday (Sept. 14). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. in Itta Bena.
