Box Score Houston, Tx.- The Mississippi Valley Devilettes come up short to the Lady Tigers of Texas Southern by a score of 88-58 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game inside the Fertitta Center, on the campus of University of Houston. 

Natalia Ready lead the Devilettes in scoring with 12 points to go along with her four rebounds.

It was a slow start for the Devilettes with The Lady Tigers jumping out to a early nine to zero lead. Mississippi Valley then fought hard to close the gap and tried to keep up with the pace that was set early in the game by Texas Southern, but their efforts would come up short. The lead only grew with the halftime score being 43-26. 

In the second half the Devilettes found themselves down by 20 points. Despite the valiant effort put forth by Mississippi Valley which brought the lead to within 16 points early in the fourth quarter they couldn't get the shots to fall.

Texas Southern ended the game with four players with double digit scoring outputs including a 30 point, nine assists and five rebound performance by Ciani Cryor. 

The Devilettes head to Prairie View A&M on Monday to continue conference play against the Lady Panthers. Tip off set for 5:30p.m
