MVSU Basketball Drops Season Opener

Fayetteville, Arkansas - The Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball team finished the game with four players in double figures during its 142-62 setback at the University of Arkansas in their 2020-21 season opener at Bud Walton Arena Wednesday.

How It Happened
  • Terry Collins led all scorers for MVSU with 15 points hitting 6-of-18 field goals to go along with three assists and two rebounds.
  • Caleb Hunter was 3-of-5 from behind the three-point line with the addition of one made free throw to finish with ten points. 
  • Kam'Ron Cunningham tallied a total off 13 points two rebounds and two assists.
  • Freshman Guard Devin Gordon came off the bench with ten points and four rebounds.
  • The Delta Devils made six trips to the free throw line while The Razorbacks capatilized on 26-of-33.
  • MVSU trailed by 31 at halftime and the Razorbacks extended their lead to 54 by the under 12:00 minute media timeout.
