Itta Bena, Miss.- Zakiya Mahoney scored a team high 17 points and added ten rebounds for the Mississippi Valley State Devilettes in an 86-46 loss to the University of Mississippi on Saturday afternoon in Oxford, Mississippi.
How It Happened
- Mahoney's 17 points and 10 rebounds are both her Division I career highs.
- Annya Moss finished the game with nine points, two rebounds and one assist.
- Ronni Williams added a team high six assists to go along with her four points, five rebounds and two steals.
- The Devilettes shot an early season low of 30.8 percent from the field, while shooting 12-of-17 from the charity strike.
- As a team the Devilettes continue to prove they can rebound the basketball despite being undersized in the paint collecting 38 rebounds.
