Itta Bena, Miss.- The Mississippi Valley State women's basketball team opened conference play with an 85-70 loss to the Lady Lions of the University of Arkansas at Pine-Bluff on Saturday afternoon inside the H.O. Clemmons Arena in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
How It Happened
- Annya Moss led the way for the Devilettes with 26 points to go along with her 11 rebounds, three assist and two steals.
- Zakiya Mahoney finished the game with 12 points, five rebounds and four steals.
- Azaria Howard returned to the starting lineup with ten points and six rebounds.
- The Devilettes bench outscored the Lady Lions 30-to-21.
- MVSU shot 35.8 percent (24-67) from the field, 30 percent (6-20) from the three-point line, and 69.6 percent (16-23) at the charity stripe.
