Ronni Williams Leads MVSU In Points, Assists & Steals At Ole Miss

 
OXFORD, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program were led in most categories by senior guard Ronni Williams during a defeat opposite Ole Miss Sunday afternoon.

Mississippi Valley State Top Performers
 
  • Williams was the major bright spot for the visitors in green, topping the Delta Devilettes in points (12) and assists (3) while being one of five student-athletes with a steal. She did most of her damage from the charity stripe by going a perfect 6-for-6 and picked up three boards as well.
 
  • Sarah Moore topped the Devilettes with seven boards while Mikayla Etienne had a solid outing with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, two three-pointers and a steal.

Notes
 
  • Valley converted 90% of its free throws (9-of-10) to best the Rebels in that category (16-for-26, 61.5%).
 
  • Mississippi Valley was also able to win the third quarter against the SEC foe, outscoring the Rebs, 13-9.
 
Coach Walker-Johnson's ladies hit the road once again on Friday as it takes on UAB in a morning tip, 11 a.m. sharp.
