- Zakiya Mahoney easily had her best outing as a Delta Devilette, posting a career-best 23 points plus six boards, three steals and two assists while going 8-of-10 (80%) from the line.

- Mikayla Etienne has now logged back-to-back solid performances, collecting 12 points, a team-best seven rebounds and a game-high four steals.

- Kendria Wilson made her collegiate debut Friday morning, swatting away two of the club's four blocks to go along with two rebounds.

- MVSU won the turnover battle (20-15) and scored more points off the mistakes (21-19) while matching or topping UAB in the first (18-18) and third quarters (14-13).

- Mississippi Valley also took advantage of its second chances and easy buckets, edging the Blazers in second chance points (14-13) plus fast break points (16-12).

The ladies from Itta Bena will get to play its first regular season home contest on Tuesday, November 23 when it hosts the Murray State Racers in an 11 a.m. showdown for Jessie Harris Education Day. All fans will be admitted for FREE and all school/youth groups in attendance will be recognized during the game.
