ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State women's soccer program scored its first goal of the season in the 22nd minute to tie the score at one but ultimately came up short by a count of 4-1.

Beatriz Kretteis tallied the first goal of 2021 campaign with an assist from Rahael Aky-Ety as Kretteis registered a season-best four shots.
 
Aryana Saenz had a shot-on-goal in her only boot plus Merica Abnathy took aim three times, putting one on the mark.
 
McKenzie McCarthy went the distance once again as keeper, stopping nine shots.
