BATON ROUGE, La. – The Mississippi Valley State University volleyball program threw a block party inside Clifford Seymour Gymnasium but was only able to win one set in a defeat to the Lady Braves.

As a unit, Mississippi Valley State swatted down ten Alcorn attack attempts compared to the Purple and Gold's two blocks, easily surpassing its prior best defensive output of the season.
 
Victoria Mallard and Destini Banks were the primary contributors to the block session, combining for five block assists and four block solos between the pair.
 
Sydney Ross was the definition of a true triple threat, posting a stat line of 12 assists, nine kills and six digs, leading the Delta Devilettes in the first two categories.
