MVSU Baseball Open Season at Southeastern Louisiana

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 Hammond, LA.-Mississippi Valley State University Baseball opened up the season in Hammond, La. with a three-game series against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. 
 
Game 1
L 0-26
 
The Delta Devils accumulated for two hits on 28 at-bats as a team. Shortstop Aaron Brazelton had the two lone hits for the Delta Devils.
Nicholas Johnson received his first loss of the season after conceding 11 hits and 10 earned runs in four innings pitched.
Angel Maldonado came into relief and gave up ten hits, 12 runs, and ten earned runs. 
Freshman Andrew Harris finished the game and gave up one hit, 4 runs, and 3 earned runs.
 
Game 2
L 0-23
 
As a team the Delta Devils had four hits in 29 at-bats. Shortstop Aaron Brazelton added two more hits to his weekend total. Outfielders Iankel Santos and John Dominguez Jr. also received their first hits of the season.
Hunter Stallings received is first loss of the season in five innings pitched he gave up ten hits, 14 runs, and 13 earned runs. 
Kyndell Dolphin came into relief and pitched three innings, Dolphin gave five hits, nine runs, and six earned runs.
 
Game 3
L 0-17 
 
Ty Washington, Nicholas Redick, and Antonio Walker received their first hits of the season accounting for the Delta Devils only three hits on the day. 
Freshman Ethan Charles received his first loss. In four innings pitched Charles gave up 11 hits, 12 runs, 8 earned runs. 
Isaiah Valenzuela came into relief and gave up nine hits, five runs, and 3 earned runs in four innings of work.
