Birmingham, AL. – The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils went up against the Prairie View A&M Panthers in the first round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament. The Devils have had a rocky history against the Panthers in the past, but this was a time to redeem themselves. This game was going to determine which team would go into the second round, and the Panthers were the ones to prevail by a score of 91-64.
How It Happened
- Caleb Hunter led the team on tonight with a total of 17 points, four assist, and two rebounds.
- Terry Collins finished with 14 points, nine rebounds, and one assist.
- Keiondre Jefferson also chipped in 13 points, two rebounds, and one assist.
- MVSU shot 34.9% from the field (22-63), 25.0% from the three-point line (7-28), and 65.0% from the charity stripe (13-20).
