Itta Bena, Miss.- Mississippi Valley State (1-0, 1-0) will travel to Jackson State (2-0, 1-0) on Sunday, March 14 to square off at Veteran Memorial Stadium at 2:00 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Series Information: The Tigers own a 60-5-2 advantage in the series against MVSU, which started in 1953. MVSU has dropped the last four meetings in the series (0-2 at JSU and 0-2 at MVSU). The last win for the Delta Devils in the series was Oct. 11, 2014, in Jackson, 27-23.

Long Time Coming: The game versus Jackson State marks the first game for MVSU in 16 months. The Delta Devils last played on Nov. 23, 2019, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Last Time Out Against Jackson State:  Last season, JSU prevailed 31-28 in Itta Bena, Mississippi. MVSU averaged a season-high 7.0 yards per pass to go along with three scores. Offensively, MVSU collected 346 total yards averaging 5.2 yards per play. Dejerric Bryant completed 14-of-27 passing attempts. He finished with a season-high three touchdowns. Jerry Garner had five tackles and 2.5 sacks. Eric Powell and Romallis Carey also recorded sacks. William Morgan and Keonte' Daniels both had interceptions.

Preseason 1st Team All Conference recipient, Jerry Garner leads a hungry Delta Devil defense who look to bring constant pressure to the backfield of the Tigers on Sunday afternoon. His helping mates, Jeremiah Caine and Eric Powell look to prove that MVSU has one of the most talented defensive lines in the country. Keonte' Daniels leads a secondary that will make plays from kickoff until the clock hits zeros. 

The Delta Devils offense will be led by quarterbacks Jalani Eason along with redshirt sophomore Chandler Robinson. They will be handing the ball off to redshirt sophomore Jacory Rankin and sophomore Dedarrian WIlliams. Malik Myers and Jacory Rankins will be the starting receivers for the Delta Devils with Senior Shedkeydrick Ross being the leader of a talented and experienced offensive line.
