Birmingham, AL.- The Mississippi Valley State Volleyball team is set to open up the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament on today with a match against in-state conference foe the Jackson State Lady Tigers at 11:00 a.m. inside the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama.

"This is our first SWAC tournament appearance since 2013", said first year head coach Janay Yancey." Im proud of the hard work and effort the team has put in this season. This current climate with the pandemic has been tough mentally not just for our team, but others as well. The team made a decision at the beginning of the season to play and took care of each other and held each person accountable. I want to thank our seniors Tylia Dixon, Jessica Bell, and Haley Buard for their initiative and dedication".
