MVSU Soccer Opts-Out of Spring 2021 Season

Itta Bena, Miss.- The Mississippi Valley State University women's soccer team has decided to opt out of the 2021 spring season. The players were united in their decision and felt it was in their best interest to focus on returning to play in the fall.

"From the administration's perspective, we support the team's decision, said Director of Athletics, Dianthia Ford-Kee. Their well-being in this unprecedented time is the most important factor for us. All student-athletes were informed prior to returning to campus their option to "opt out" for this season and they could make their decision at their discretion."

All other sport teams will continue to compete as scheduled until further notice.
