Itta Bena, Miss.- MVSU's Department of Athletics and the MVSU V-Club has launched the "Touchdown for Turf" campaign, a grassroots effort to raise two million dollars for facility enhancements at Rice-Totten Stadium. The new field turf and track surfaces will improve the playing and competition conditions as well as improve safety risk for our student-athletes that will practice and compete on these surfaces.
In addition to benefits for our student-athletes, the new field turf and track surfaces will provide value to the surrounding communities by hosting multiple high school football games, track and field meets, soccer matches, concerts, commencements and more. Touchdown 4Turf will place Rice-Totten Stadium as the epicenter for Mississippi Delta outdoor events.
Donors can contribute at various levels ranging from $25 to over $50,000.
