ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State athletics program will have all of its fall sports minus football active as well as a pair of spring sports exhibitions throughout the day on Friday with three home games sprinkled around campus in a sports fans' dream.

Friday, October 14:
Â
The first of many athletic programs to be active on Friday is the cross country teams, who will participate in the Blazer Classic in Montevallo, Alabama at 9 a.m., its final regular season meet before the SWAC Championships in Tallahassee.

Baseball kicks off its fall season inside the friendly confines of Magnolia Field at 1 p.m. versus their down the street neighbors, Mississippi Delta Community College.

Soccer returns to the pitch for the first time in two weeks with a trip to Grambling State at 4 p.m. as it attempts to notch its first victory of the year.

Softball will host its final home game until the real contests begin in the spring, welcoming East Mississippi Community College to MVSU Softball Field for a 5 p.m. first pitch.

Finally, volleyball welcomes its conference mates from Daytona Beach, Florida; Bethune-Cookman; for a SWAC East divisional showdown at 6 p.m. in the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.

Saturday, October 15:

Saturday will begin with volleyball hosting its second Sunshine State opponent in 24 hours as the defending conference champion Florida A&M Rattlers invade the Delta for a noon first serve.

Football heads to Montgomery for a date with the Hornets of Alabama State at 2 p.m. as it looks to catch ASU in a typical trap game after a Homecoming battle with #8 Jackson State the week before.

Sunday, October 16:
Â
Women's Soccer wraps up a wild weekend as the only game of the day, a road tilt with Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 1 p.m. inside the Pumphrey Soccer Complex.
