ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's soccer program will welcome the first place Jackson State Lady Tigers to Itta Bena for a rumble in the Mississippi Delta Sunday afternoon.

Mississippi Valley State Overview:

As a team, Valley State owns the top spot nationally for saves per game (10.17) and is fifth in the SWAC regarding both assists per game (0.67) plus shot accuracy (0.500).

Bailee Washington, coming off her first career multi-goal match last weekend and her first career assist on Friday, rose all the way up to fourth on the conference leaderboard with 0.33 goals per game, sixth for total goals at two, seventh regarding points per match (0.83), and ninth in total points of five.

Juliette Charriez recorded three points with a goal and an assist last weekend, slotting third in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in assists a contest (0.20) and eighth for assists along with Rahael Aka-Ety, who leads the team in shots as well (8).

Scouting The Jackson State Lady Tigers:

Jackson State is currently unbeaten in SWACtion, having yet to allow a goal in three matches with victories over Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Alcorn plus a tie of Grambling State. The Blue and White also picked up a quality non-conference win opposite another JSU in Jacksonville State.

Before its match in Lorman on Friday, JSU sported the third-best goals-against average in the league at 1.889 and it was lowered with its third consecutive shutout versus the Lady Braves.

Tionna Taylor has been unflappable since the non-conference portion ended, having yet to concede a score in 270 minutes with nine saves.

Four goals have been shot into the back of the net for Jackson State, two from Sage McGruder plus one each off the feet of Kendyl Terrell and Maya-Joy Thompson while its two assists came via Ayanna Pinder and Alexes Sanchez.
