HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's soccer program will need to win out in order to capture its first SWAC Tournament appearance since 2017, beginning with the Lady Bulldogs of Alabama A&M on Friday afternoon.

Mississippi Valley State Overview:
 
Coach Davies' ladies are one of the nation's most accurate shooting squads, slotting top-15 in the NCAA with 54.8% of its shot attempts being on-goal.
 
Bailee Washington has emerged as the team's top scoring threat in her collegiate debut campaign, leading the Green and White in points (7 – 9th in SWAC), points per match (0.78 – 8th in SWAC), goals (3), goals per game (0.33 – 5th in SWAC), shot accuracy (80%), shots-on-goal (4), and shots-on-goal per contest (0.44) while being one of the four student-athletes to notch an assist.
 
Two other Valley players have found the back of the net; Rahael Aka-Ety and Juliette Charriez; who both have an assist as well with Aryana Saenz contributing the fourth of four team assists.
 
McKenzie McCarthy sits atop the collegiate soccer world with 11.33 saves on average and is fourth overall in total stops at 102. McCarthy, the program's all-time record holder for both total saves (459) plus stops a match (8.66), ranking second among all active NCAA players in the former and 15th in the latter.
 
Scouting The Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs:
 
Head Coach Frank Davies returns to his roots where he kickstarted the soccer program at Alabama A&M, who has gotten three of its four wins via shutout versus Troy, Jacksonville State, and Southern.
 
The Maroon and White focus their strengths onto the defensive end, seceding the second-lowest goals-against average in the SWAC (1.357) and the second-highest save percentage (79.3%).
 
Laura Jansa is the star netminder responsible as the reigning SWAC Goalkeeper of the Week has stopped 78% of her shots faced and averages 4.6 saves a night.
 
Three Lady Bulldogs have multiple goals including K'la Barnes-Blackwood (2), Alana Paul (2), and Jameela Barrett (2) with Barrett tallying ten on-target shots.
