Mississippi Valley State Overview:

Mikayla Lee is the only statistical leader in multiple categories for the ladies from Itta Bena, touching down a team-high 15 service aces while dishing out 241 helpers.

Chardea Berthelot is running away with the title of team's top killer with 86, more than 30 kills higher than her next closest adversary.

Defensively, three student-athletes are above the century mark for digs as Seerdyn James (110) fronts the pack, followed by Lee (106), and Torre Giron (103).

The double-digit block club now has two Green and White clad members with Chariah Mabry holding the edge with 18 blocks and Destini Banks is a distant second at ten.

Scouting The Alabama State Lady Hornets:

ASU has been leaving scorch marks on the hardwood behind them as they are winners of seven out of eight conference matches and nine-of-ten overall.

The Swarm has done this mainly behind the theory that if the ball can't be played well off the serve, then points will be hard to come by, topping the SWAC and landing among the NCAA's top-40 in service aces per set (1.78) on top of a third-best hitting percentage in the league (.177).

Brooke Adams is the Lady Hornets "service" ace in the hole, slotting second only to PVAMU's Kylee Owens for aces per set with 0.43.

Kalysia Bates sits alone atop the conference's block leaderboards with 71 rejections while her defensive counterpart Temperance Chatman places second with 272 digs on the season.

Attacking-wise, Bama State will rely on the arms of Jada Rhodes (2.65 kills p/s) and Bates (2.57 kills p/s) to provide the points, ranking ninth and tenth, respectively, in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
