NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program yielded a 15-3 run to open the second half as the Lipscomb Bisons turned a five-point halftime lead into a 67-45 final margin.

  • Milia Gibson set two new career-bests on the afternoon as she played 26 minutes and snatching a game-high five steals to go along with eight points, four rebounds, and a dime.
 
  • Zaria Harleaux was the top rebounder for Coach Anderson, corralling eight rebounds while SyAnn Holmes produced ten points and was the only Devilette with multiple assists (2).
 
Notes:
 
  • For the second game in-a-row, the Devilettes faced an opponent for the first time in program history and it was only the eighth contest ever against the current iteration of the Atlantic Sun Conference, which is now even at four apiece.
 
  • Valley State won the turnover battle (25-19) and secured more steals (13-8) than its adversary for the first time this year.
 
Mississippi Valley will play its home opener that doubles as Jessie Harris Education Day on Tuesday, November 22 at 1 p.m. versus the Nicholls Colonels.
