HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program received its first double-double of the campaign via Zakiya Mahoney as she notched the fifth of her career in an 85-49 setback against the Cardinals.

  • Mahoney shot 58.9%, making a career-high ten field goals on 17 attempts for a season/game-best 22 points. Her Devilette-best ten rebounds gave her a double-double for the first time since February 19 last season and her fifth in just over two full seasons at Valley while also collecting a team-high three steals as well.
 
  • Kerrigan Johnson fronted Mississippi Valley with a career-high four assists and swiped a steal for the second time this year.
 
  • Milia Gibson pulled down a tied for career-high half-dozen rebounds and spent all 40 minutes on the court for the first time as a Devilette.
 
  • Krisen Hunt went for a season-most nine points on top of her second multi-three pointer affair of 2022-23 and Zaria Harleaux put together a quality eight points.
