  • Chris Soeder logged his third multi-hit contest of his freshman campaign as he went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and a double while scoring as well.

  • Jose Salazar-Ortega got to reach a milestone in an otherwise forgettable afternoon, collecting his first career base knock in his second career at-bat after pinch-hitting for Narvin Booker.

  • Ethan Charles did a commendable job in mop-up duty, hurling 2.1 frames while giving up just two runs, three hits and a walk to go along with a strikeout.

Valley has a chance to salvage the series Sunday afternoon and enact a bit of revenge on the Rattlers at 12 p.m. CT in Tallahassee.
