ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's soccer program will host its second long-distance non-conference opponent of the 2022 season when the North Dakota Fighting Hawks make the 1,272-mile journey to Itta Bena for the programs' first-ever meeting.

Mississippi Valley State Overview:
The Green and White have been one of the least penalized teams in the conference this year, committing the third-least among its peers with just 7.33 fouls per match on top of fronting the nation in saves a game at 14.00.
McKenzie McCarthy, the NCAA's saves per game leader (12.00) and active NCAA leader for most career saves (393), has stopped 76.6% of shots to sit third in the Southwestern Athletic Conference as well as slotting fifth for total saves with 36 despite only playing two-and-a-half matches between the pipes.
Valley has had four separate student-athletes make their bid to be the club's first goal scorer as

Cambree Catalano,
Aryana Saenz, and
Bailee Washington have all placed a shot on-target while accounting for 81.8% (9-of-11) of the teams' shots overall.
Scouting The North Dakota Fighting Hawks:
UND has claimed two victims and tied two others in its eight matches, beating Southern Indiana (1-0) and Jamestown (2-0) while coming to a draw against Wyoming (1-1) plus Portland State (0-0).
Madi Livingston has racked up 692:27 minutes in goal for the Fighting Hawks, leading the Summit League in saves per game (5.25) and total saves (41), snagging the fourth-best save percentage (.759), and posting a pair of shutouts.
North Dakota has scored a total of six goals with no student-athlete logging more than one and each goal has had an assist, three of them courtesy of Bailey McNitt, which is good for fourth in the conference.
Hannah Olson is the team's go-to shooter with a squad-best 18 shots and 7 shots-on-goal with two others, Sarah McCracken (14) and McNitt (12), tallying double-figure shot totals as well.
