Mississippi Valley State Top Performers

  • While most of her stats will not appear in the box score, Rahael Aka-Ety was a wizard on the defensive end of the pitch, consistently halting ULM attacks, making two saves on balls that slipped past the keeper, and had one of the team's four shot on the afternoon.

  • Cambree Catalano recorded her first career multi-shot affair, getting off a pair on a free kick and then again immediately after when the ball ricocheted off a defender's chest. Kayla Evans connected for her first shot of the year as well.

  • The program's all-time record holder in numerous categories, goalie McKenzie McCarthy had one of her best performances to date, facing an absurd 47 shots (25 on-target) and stopping 19 of them including multiple lounging efforts to tip the ball over the net on perfectly placed top-shelf attempts.

Notes

  • Valley was able to put some pressure on the Warhawks, resulting in its first two corner kicks of the season during the 49th and 79th minutes.

MVSU will now take 12 days off from match action to prepare for its next matchup when the North Dakota Fighting Hawks fly in for a 6 p.m. kick on Friday, September 16.
