Kayleigh Lambrechts Tabbed To Lead MVSU Soccer Program

ITTA Bena, Miss. - The Mississippi Valley State University soccer program has tabbed Kayleigh Lambrechts as its new head coach.

"We are excited to have Kayleigh Lambrechts at Mississippi Valley State as the soccer program's new head coach," said Director of Athletic Hakim McClellan. "Lambrechts  brings championship experience and exudes the attitude of a champion that will continue to elevate MVSU and its soccer program." 

Lambrechts is originally from Belgium and came to the United States in 2015 to attend Louisiana State University of Alexandria. In 2017 Lambrechts earned the Red River Athletic Conference Championship title. 

After graduating, Lambrechts pursued and played professionally in Belgium. 

In 2020, she returned to Louisiana to coach as an assistant at Louisiana Christian University. In the second year at Lousiana Christian, the program earned the title of the Red River Athletic Conference Regular Season Champions and tournament champions. History was made as it was the program's first time in school history to win a conference and go to nationals. 

In 2022 Lambrechts was at John Melvin University to start the university and the men's and women's soccer programs. 

Lambrechts have a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. In addition, she has earned a Master of Education: in Educational Leadership.
