MVSU Falls Short in Loss to Liberty University

Lynchburg, VA - In a tough matchup on Tuesday night, the Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball team faced off against Liberty University, ultimately falling short with a final score of 74-39.

The Delta Devils fought hard, but Liberty's strong performance proved to be a formidable challenge.
 
The first half set the tone for the game, with MVSU trailing Liberty 29-18 going into halftime. The team faced a deficit, but the players showed resilience and determination as they prepared for the second half.
 
Donovan Sanders emerged as a standout for Mississippi Valley State, leading the team with an impressive 18 points and contributing 6 rebounds. Sanders showcased his scoring ability and made significant efforts to keep his team in the game. Alongside him, Arecko Gipson had a solid performance, adding 13 points and grabbing 4 rebounds.
 
Despite the individual efforts, Liberty University maintained their lead, limiting the Delta Devils' scoring opportunities and extending their advantage throughout the game.
 
As the final buzzer sounded, Mississippi Valley State University found themselves with a 74-39 loss, bringing their season record to 0-9.
