Lynchburg, VA - In a tough matchup on Tuesday night, the Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball team faced off against Liberty University, ultimately falling short with a final score of 74-39.
The Delta Devils fought hard, but Liberty's strong performance proved to be a formidable challenge.
The first half set the tone for the game, with MVSU trailing Liberty 29-18 going into halftime. The team faced a deficit, but the players showed resilience and determination as they prepared for the second half.
Donovan Sanders emerged as a standout for Mississippi Valley State, leading the team with an impressive 18 points and contributing 6 rebounds. Sanders showcased his scoring ability and made significant efforts to keep his team in the game. Alongside him,
Arecko Gipson had a solid performance, adding 13 points and grabbing 4 rebounds.
