HOUSTON, TXÂ - The Mississippi Valley State Diamond Devils fell behind early in a 14-1 loss to Jackson State Tigers on Day Two of the Inaugural Cactus Jack HBCU Classic at the Minute Maid Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Diamond Devils struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Jackson State, giving up 14 runs.
Junior Dreylin Holmes hit a deep one in the sixth inning, with a homer to collect a run for MVSU. Maury Weaver and Holmes both recorded one hit.Â
