JACKSON, Miss. - The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (2-20, 1-7 SWAC) topped Jackson State Tigers (6-17, 5-5 SWAC) with a comeback victory in the second half on Saturday evening, 82-78.
The contest was tied three times in the second half, but the Delta Devils managed to pull away from the JSU Tigers in the second half with just 9:26 remaining on the clock when Rayquan Brown drained a three-pointer for MVSU, 59-56.
Terry Collins was the leading scorer for the Delta Devils with 21 points. He also registered six rebounds, five steals, and four assists.
Brown contributed 17 points to the scoreboard against the Tigers. In addition, he recorded five rebounds, one block, and one steal.
Kadar Waller added 16 points, and Tyronn Mosley added 12 points for MVSU against JSU.
Top Performers:
Terry Collins recorded 21 points, six rebounds, five steals, and four assists.
Rayquan Brown recorded 17 points, five rebounds, one block, and one steal.
Kadar Waller recorded 16 points, three assists, and two rebounds.
Tyronn Mosley recorded 12 points, two rebounds, and one steal.
